The theme of my research is to develop statistical methods and theory to quantify the uncertainty (confidence interval and hypothesis test) in modern data sets, which are characterized by high dimensionality, complexity and heterogeneity. I enjoy working at the interface of mathematical statistics, machine learning and stochastic optimization. I am currently interested in developing statistical foundation for machine learning methods (e.g, clustering, reinforcement learning) and the machine learning methods for causal inference problems.
